Job description:
Seeking a communication & structured cabling technician to work in various jobsites around the GTA. Pay will be decided based on experience and skill.
Job Description:
- Pull & Terminate CAT6/CAT6A Cable
- Pull & Terminate Fiber Cable
- Label, Test and Certify Cabling as requested using a Cable Certifier
- Lead a team of 1-3 technicians
- Dress Copper/Fiber cabling as directed with Velcro
- Install, Mount and fasten cable trays and J-Hooks
- Install Network Racks and Cabinets as well as Rack & Stack
- Read and follow Construction Drawings.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a structured cabling technician
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a construction environment
- Must have experience using various power tools
- Must be able to travel to various locations in the GTA
- Must have PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) such as Hard Hat, Steel Toes...etc
- Must have personal Hand tools (Multi Bit Screw driver, Scissors, Pliers...etc)
- Must be able to start work at 7:00am and be open to Overtime Hours
- Big Plus to have safety certifications (WHIMIS, Working at Heights, 4-Step)
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

- Have you pulled and terminated CAT6A cables in commercial spaces before?
Experience:
- Commercial construction: 2 years (required)
- Structured Cabling: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
