Our client is expanding fast – and is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Warehouse Team lead to take the lead in our high-performing warehouse team. NOTE: this role involves repetitive motions, and the candidate must be physically able to move and lift boxes.
About the Role:
In this key leadership position, you'll be responsible for overseeing aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory, picking, and dispatch. This isn’t just a desk job – you'll be right there on the floor with the team, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations.
Note: Our warehouse includes cold storage areas with temperatures as low as -18°F. You must be comfortable working in this environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and participate in warehouse activities: receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management
- Coordinate with production, QA, customer service, and procurement to ensure seamless operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP/SQF, GMP). Training provided
- Optimize warehouse layout for safety and efficiency
- Train and guide new warehouse staff with a hands-on leadership style
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
- Enforce all safety protocols, including those specific to cold storage areas
What You Bring:
- Able to lift boxes, and perform repetitive tasks; you will be on your feet part of the day
- Forklift experience is a huge asset
- Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role – food manufacturing experience is a strong asset
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (HACCP/SQF, GMP) is a plus
- Strong leadership skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in cold environments (-18°F)
- Bilingual (French and English) is ideal
- Flexible availability – willing to pitch in beyond regular hours when needed
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize under pressure
