POSITION OVERVIEW
The Foreman provides on-site leadership for electricians. They ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification, acting as the primary link between project management and the field crew.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise day-to-day field operations, crew activities, and job site workflow
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and instructions to guide installation work
- Track material usage and submit material requests to the PM for verification and ordering
- Monitor progress and ensure work completion is aligned with the construction schedule
- Maintain direct and professional communication with GC’s site supervisor
- Communicate progress updates, issues, material/tool needs, and schedule changes to PMs
- Ensure accurate time tracking and submit daily/weekly crew hours to the PM
- Notify the PM of any required change orders or rough T&M work as soon as they arise
- Ensure compliance with code, safety regulations, and Site Connect quality standards
- Complete jobsite documentation and reporting as required
- Participate in inspections, walkthroughs, and site meetings
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior technicians on-site
- Make quick, informed decisions on the ground in response to schedule or jobsite conditions
- Maintain a professional image and conduct. All clothing that is worn must be clean, neat, and project a professional image of our organization and professional conduct must follow as you are representing the organization
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman Electrician certification (required)
- 3+ years of field experience including team supervision
- Strong knowledge of local electrical codes and safety practices
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of making confident, timely decisions on-site

- Jobsite adherence to schedule and task completion timelines
- Quality of installation work with minimal rework or deficiencies
- Foreman responsiveness and communication with PMs and GC site supervisors
- Accuracy and timeliness of crew hour submissions
- Safety compliance and incident-free performance on-site
- Crew productivity and morale under Foreman leadership
- Training progression and skill development of apprentices
- Overall satisfaction of PMs with project execution support
