Description :
he Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of a PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR FOR THE FALL 2026 semester to teach the course INTERNSHIP (351-691-LA).
This course represents the final phase of students' supervised work experience through an extended, full-time internship, offering an opportunity to integrate learning from previous courses and fieldwork. Students will demonstrate increased autonomy and confidence as Special Education Technicians by applying all, and interventions in practical settings. Assignments and individual and small group supervision will focus on animating clinical activities and interventions with an emphasis on prevention, adaptation, and rehabilitation. Students will determine and implement intervention strategies tailored to assessed needs, animate sessions, and evaluate outcomes. They will support clients in maintaining and developing abilities, applying coping strategies, and facilitating social and professional integration, while also managing crises through evaluation, de-escalation, and follow-up techniques. Students in this course are expected to write reports objectively using professional terminology and participate in seminars to share their experiences and make meaningful contributions.
Required Qualifications :
Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience. Teaching experience within a similar program and pertinent fieldwork experience (supervision) in a relevant environment are assets. This program is taught in English; proficiency in English is required. The stage environment could be English or French; therefore, bilingualism is also an asset.

Activities will be delivered in person. Individual meetings may be held online/at distance.
The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver their activities or meetings online.
Supervision is done onsite at the internship setting.
The hired instructor will be responsible for stage placements of students, in-class teaching hours, and stage supervision of 10 students which includes final student presentations at the end of the internship.
