Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will support the Chef in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a safe working environment
- Support food handling procedures and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and improve overall kitchen performance
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to implement menu changes and special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and serving guests’ needs
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous kitchen experience in hospitality or related fields is highly desirable
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to quality service and continuous improvement
- TRAIN CAN Food Handlers Certification
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
