Integration Asset Coordinator (6-Month Contract)
The Integration Asset Coordinator supports the onboarding and management of content assets, rights data, and metadata, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with business and distribution requirements.
This new role will report to the Senior Director, International Distribution and Business Operations and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
Sales & Rights Support
- Support global sales teams by providing accurate rights availability, restrictions, and windowing information.
- Review deal terms and confirm rights alignment across territories, platforms, and languages.
Rights Management
- Maintain and manage rights data across internal systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Track rights usage, expiries, holdbacks, and exclusivity across all licensed content.
- Interpret complex contracts to extract and input key rights information.
Contract Analysis
- Analyze license agreements and term sheets to validate rights, obligations, and deliverables.
- Flag risks, conflicts, or discrepancies in rights allocations and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with Legal and Acquisitions to clarify contract terms and resolve issues.
Data & Reporting
- Generate rights reports for sales, finance, and management teams.
- Support audits and provide insights on rights availability and performance.
- Ensure data integrity across rights management systems and tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Acquisitions, Finance, and Operations to align on rights strategy.
- Act as a key point of contact for rights-related inquiries across departments.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support enhancements to rights management systems (Rightsline).
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, and data tracking.
- Assist in system migrations and data validation projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- The ability to parse complex legal documents (Distribution Agreements, License Agreements) to identify "chain of title" and delivery obligations.
- Power-user proficiency in Rightsline (or similar platforms like FilmTrack, MediaRights) to manage complex windows and territories.
- Experience in data migration and mapping.
- High-level Excel skills for data validation, auditing, and ensuring consistency.
- The ability to visualize how data flows between Legal, Finance, and Media Services/Global Deliveries during a company merger or acquisition.
- Meticulous attention to detail required to resolve "legacy ambiguities" and clean up historical data gaps.
- Aligning asset ingestion workflows with corporate strategy, ensuring high-value content is integrated and "sales-ready" first.
- Identify bottlenecks in how rights and assets are linked and propose structural improvements to the data pipeline.
