The Global Risk Monitoring (GRM) Collective Priority focuses on the development of an enhanced and integrated monitoring program. The enhancements made to the Quality Performance Review (QPR) Program, the KPMG Quality and Compliance Evaluation Program (Q&CE), Global Quality and Compliance Review (GQCR) and other monitoring programs will support our ambition to be the most trusted firm.
The GRM team objectives are to: 1) perform a comprehensive compliance/brand/risk assessment to ensure our monitoring and testing efforts are focused on our most important risks, 2) Collaborate with the ISQM1 team to develop the new QCE technology and methodology, 3) enhance the GCR program by reevaluating objectives of the program against current requirements and expectations of stakeholders, 4) integrate ARL, GQCR, Q&CE and QPR monitoring programs to enhance their effectiveness, 5) effectively manage action plans included in the Q&CE and GQCR, and 6) improve the ARL program, addressing such issues as integration with GCR and other monitoring programs.
Global Monitoring and Compliance Operations (GMCO) Group is part of Global Risk Monitoring and is responsible for the Monitoring and Compliance parts of the wider GRM objectives above. The position is based in the Global Resource Centre (Toronto, Canada). One of the main benefits of the role is working in a global environment through interaction with various other Global Groups.
The Global Monitoring and Compliance Operations (GMCO) Group is seeking an experienced Manager to assist with the Audit Quality Performance Review (QPR) Program and KPMG Quality and Compliance Evaluation Program (based on the new System of Quality Management standard) – collectively referred to as “monitoring programs”.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Apply innovative and creative ideas in the development of the monitoring programs
Development and ongoing maintenance of guidance documents, templates, and training materials used to drive consistency and quality of the monitoring programs
Updating and maintaining monitoring dashboards
Analyzing results from the monitoring programs for identification of key issues;
Assisting in the preparation of presentation materials to reflect the results of the monitoring programs with stakeholders and regulators
Serve as a support contact for Regional representatives to ensure successful completion of monitoring programs
Analyzing regulatory comments and summarizing the results on a dashboard for leadership
Assisting with the operation and documentation of GMCO Group network controls;
Supporting the GMCO Group in ad-hoc projects or in dealing with issues and challenges that arise.
What you will do:
Assist in the development of global monitoring programs
Assist with the development of the monitoring programs and reporting technology which is required to ensure that the program meets regulatory requirements and improvements needed to meet KPMG’s Public Trust goals.
Responsible for the following development activities (but are not limited to):
Collaboration with the different Global Groups involved in developing the programs to determine availability and manage expectations
Liaising with the developers to ensure they understand the requirements
Manage user acceptance testing and resolve issues noted during testing
Update and prepare new reports to help with the analysis of results.
Monitoring and reporting of results
Responsible for:
Monitoring the progress and completion status of the monitoring programs results including preparation of periodic reporting of results.
Summarizing and analyzing the program results for identification of key issues and assisting in the preparation of presentation materials to stakeholders and regulators.
Management and delivery of all other ad-hoc reporting obligations to regional and global levels.
SoQM Network Controls
Responsible for:
Managing the development, and ongoing operation of quality management controls for the GMCO group as part of the transformation of the group to meet the upcoming requirements of ISQM1.
What you bring to this role:
Post Graduate Degree
At least 5 years related work experience
Experience analyzing data and preparing insightful reporting
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience in project management; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, particularly with senior level global stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and strong time management skills with an ability to prioritize and deal with conflicting demands
Ability to work independently and with team members, under tight deadlines and escalate questions pro-actively
Comfortable learning to work with new technology
Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze results identify emerging issues and propose solutions
Broad knowledge of all the services offered by firms within the network
Professional skepticism and demonstrable professional judgement to handle situations that arise
Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately
Adaptability to ever changing situations
