Manager, Strategic Projects & Initiatives (Client Services) - Permanent Full-time
The Manager, Strategic Projects & Initiatives is accountable for providing leadership within the client services division as it relates to the initiation, the development and the execution of key internal and external projects. The Manager, Strategic Projects & Initiatives, will be heavily involved in internal projects supporting the Director, Client Services and Regional Managers related to client experience and practice improvements by reflecting VHA’s vision, mission and core beliefs of services . The Manager, Strategic Projects & Initiatives, Client Services will also assist with external projects related to integrated care, LHIN/Ontario Health-driven projects and initiatives and will assist with coordination between different departments within the organization (QBPRE, IT, HI and Finance.)
Key Skills, and Experience required for this position:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related health care discipline from a recognized university preferred
Masters Degree in Health Administration or Business Administration or equivalent will be an asset
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
A minimum of five years progressive leadership responsibility and project management, preferably in home and community health
Demonstrated experience establishing and delivering complex projects preferred
Experience managing business intelligence and data warehouse projects
Commitment to providing client and family-centered care and demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
Strong presentation skills and experience with stakeholder management
Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
Solid influencing skills, as well as sound business and technical acumen
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision, minimal direction and frequent interruptions
Knowledge of trends and issues related to the delivery of client services
Ability to manage in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous work environment
Demonstrated client-centered and customer-focused philosophy
Ability to exercise innovation and initiative in identifying business opportunities
Self-directed and creative with sound business judgment and integrity
Demonstrated skills in financial, human resource and relationship management
Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods
