Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our woodworking and cabinetry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and manufacturing, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to produce high-quality custom cabinets and furniture. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing various hand tools and power tools, in a collaborative environment focused on craftsmanship and precision.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of cabinets and related woodwork.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install custom cabinetry using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Measure materials precisely and perform layout work according to project specifications.
- Operate machinery such as CNC routers, saws, sanders, and other woodworking tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to achieve desired aesthetic results.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met within deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks such as framing, drywall installation, or minor repairs as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Strong carpentry skills with experience in woodworking, cabinetry, and furniture making.
- Familiarity with hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, routers).
- Experience operating CNC machinery for precision cutting and shaping.
- Knowledge of construction painting, restoration techniques, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, caulking, plumbing, electrical work, or handyman experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Good communication skills for working within a team or directly with clients.
