Catering Production Associate
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Catering Production Associate to join our catering team. This position plays an important role in preparing, portioning, assembling, and packing food orders according to established recipes and presentation standards, while ensuring that high-quality standards are met for our clients.
The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced kitchen environment, follows instructions carefully, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, weigh, portion, and assemble food items according to standardized recipes, portion guides, and order specifications.
- Assist with ingredient preparation, including washing, cutting, organizing, storing, and rotating food products and supplies.
- Package, label, and organize catering orders accurately, ensuring they are completed according to quality standards and production timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area by cleaning work surfaces, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces, and by safely operating dishwashing and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen-control, and workplace safety procedures, while assisting with other food preparation and catering production duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, food production, food preparation, or a high-volume kitchen environment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes, measurements, portion guides, and instructions accurately.
- Ability to remain organized, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; FoodSafe certification is considered an asset.
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods and regularly lift to 20 pounds during shifts.
- Comfortable working in kitchen environments with varying temperatures, including refrigerators and walk-in coolers.
- Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Compensation
- Hourly wage: $19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
