Installation Lead Hand
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Nova Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Installation Lead Hand to join a growing team in Dartmouth, NS. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with construction experience who enjoys working in a physically demanding environment and leading installation projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise installation crews on commercial and industrial job sites
- Install and assemble warehouse racking, shelving, and storage systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate daily project activities to ensure jobs are completed on time and within scope
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and lift equipment as required
- Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, and site preparation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Complete project documentation and safety records
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
- Ensure all work is completed according to company safety standards
Requirements
- Previous construction, installation, industrial, or warehouse systems experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and installation drawings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand on your feet for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver's licence required
- Steel-toe boots required
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
