Position Overview:
Laureate College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary classroom Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in our English as a Second Language Program on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, on-campus lessons in ESL that meet Laureate College's Ontario curriculum standards.
- Develop lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and participation.
- Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages academic growth.
- Participate in faculty meetings, collaborative projects, and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues about student performance and needs.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, Social Science, Business or a related discipline.
- Teaching certification (OCT) or equivalent ESL qualifications (preferred).
- Previous experience teaching ESL (Ontario Credit Courses)
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to student success and creating an engaging learning environment.
