Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting physical fitness and overall well-being among students.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical and Health Education lessons that meet the BC curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and fitness trends and best practices.
Skills
- Certified to teach in British Columbia.
- Experience teaching Physical and Health Education at the Grade 6 to 10 level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of physical education and health curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
