Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and efficient medication management. This role involves assisting pharmacists with daily operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and maintaining a well-organized pharmacy environment. Prior experience in hospital settings or pharmacy technician roles is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper storage of medications
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and guiding patients on medication usage
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and healthcare regulations
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
Requirements
- Previous hospital or pharmacy technician experience is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Strong understanding of patient care principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Good communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards patients
- Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility for shifts as needed
