Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through attentive and respectful care. This role involves working closely with patients to meet their daily needs while promoting independence and dignity.
Duties
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments by implementing specialized care techniques
- Help with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers and ambulation
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures in accordance with healthcare standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, and working with people with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and excellent communication abilities
- Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
- Valid background check and ability to pass any required health screenings
- Commitment to providing respectful, dignified care that promotes independence for clients
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
