Halton is hiring! As part of the Public Health team, you will support the efficient and effective operation of our vaccination clinics.
Positions are temporary full-time up to December 31, 2021.
Applicants who are returning to school in September, will be considered for a term up to September 3, 2021.
Shifts will include days, evenings and weekends.

As part of the public health team, you will support community vaccine clinics throughout the Region. Successful candidates will be assigned to the following roles: Greeter; Registration Clerk; Clinic Monitor, Runner.
The successful candidate will have a Secondary School Diploma along with a minimum of one (1) year clerical/customer service experience. Proficiency with MS Office applications and experience with data bases are required along with strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong proof reading, keyboarding and data entry skills are required. The ability to multitask and prioritize within fast paced environment; effective time management and problem-solving skills is required.
The successful candidate will be made an offer of employment on condition that the Regional Municipality of Halton receives a current (obtained within the past six (6) months), original and acceptable Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screen, by the first day of employment. In absence of an up to date police clearance, the Region will accept a signed declaration by the employee. Within one month of the Pandemic Declaration being revoked, you are required to submit an original and acceptable Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screen to the Region.
- Travel within Halton will be required, the incumbent must supply own transportation.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required.
- Working in a clinical environment, interacting with large numbers of Halton residents.
- Performing daily self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms, prior to reporting to work.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Training and relevant PPE will be provided.
Adhere to infection prevention and control measures such as proper hand hygiene, and maintaining physical distancing.
Welcome clients, screen for any COVID-19 related symptoms.
Guide and direct clients while maintaining clinic flow.
Ensure clients are wearing masks and following proper physical distancing protocols.
Verify client appointment and documentation.
Oversee client registration, assist with data collection and data entry.
Monitor and deliver equipment to appropriate clinic staff.
Direct clients to appropriate Clinical Staff member or Immunizer.
Monitors clients in the pre and post immunization areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
