Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Welding Apprentice (2nd Year) or Junior Welder–Fabricator with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in basic welding and fabrication. The successful candidate will primarily work in our welding and fabrication shop, supporting production under the guidance of senior staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills in a structured shop environment while gaining experience working from blueprints and shop drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with shop standards
- Work under the direction of senior welders, lead hands, and supervisors
- Follow instructions and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Assist with fitting, layout, and preparation of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Work independently when required while following established direction
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered 2nd Year Welding Apprentice, or
- 2–3 years of practical welding and fabrication experience
- Basic welding skills (MIG, stick, or FCAW considered an asset)
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
