Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist Front Desk to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong administrative skills, and familiarity with dental office procedures. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist Front Desk plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the clinical team to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently using Abeldent
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments accurately
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries, appointment requests, and patient communications
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments at the front desk
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, professional, and welcoming
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Handle patient questions or concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting
- Proficiency with dental practice management software Abeldent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally
- Prior experience with medical or dental office operations is highly desirable
