Saint John – Stabilization Service Program Manager – Permanent full time
The Organization
Youth Impact Jeunesse is a large accredited and charitable organization that has distinguished itself as a leader in the delivery of residential and community outreach services for at-risk youth. With more than 310 dedicated staff, the agency strives to make a positive difference in the lives of youth and their families by providing support and teaching them helpful skills needed to succeed. Currently Youth Impact Jeunesse operates sixteen residential facilities in seven different communities across New Brunswick. It also offers several community outreach programs within the Greater Moncton area.
Youth Impact Jeunesse is preparing to expand services and open a new Stabilization Services program in Saint John NB. Thisprogramwill serve youth ages 12 – 18 who require social, emotional, and behavioural support, and are at risk of placement breakdown. The focus of this twelve-week service is to provide a safe, short-term therapeutic living environment where youth can build stability and develop skills. The team will also provide twelve-week home support for families whose youth are not in the care of the Minister of Social Development.
We are currently seeking a Program Manager in Saint John, NB., to take the lead in the start-up of this new service. The Ideal candidates will have a high level of organizational skills, be team players who have a high level of experience, knowledge and skills related to management/leadership and supporting the needs and care of children, youth, and their families.
This position reports to an Associate Director of Residential Services.
Job Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
- Provide instruction and direction to the staff team regarding their tasks and responsibilities
- Role model work ethic, appropriate conduct and decision making
- Properly manage team dynamics and address staff issues.
- Ensure the completion of all tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of the program.
- Provide quality and effective onboarding to new staff of the program
- Provide regular supervisions, coaching and evaluations to all staff of the program on a regular basis.
- Promote and maintain a safe, non-judgmental, welcoming environment for staff and youth
- Ensure adherence to Provincial Standards, Canadian Centre for Accreditation Standards, and Operational/Personnel Policies, and to report any breaches of these policies to their supervisor.
- Ensure proper implementation of intake, care planning and discharge activities.
- Ensure the safety, well being and basic needs of staff and youth are met and communicated.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, youth, families, and other professionals associated with the program.
- Attend to community concerns and complaints effectively and timely.
- Ensure that individual and group programs are being implemented on an ongoing basis.
- Complete and maintain documentation practices of the program.
- Maintaining regular and open communication with your supervisor and reporting any significant developments or concerns in a timely manner

Educational Requirements:
- College diploma or minimum of two years University successfully completed in a Human Services related field.
Candidates being considered for employment will be subject to Criminal Record Check and background check by the Department of Social Development.
Compensation: $61,200 annually + Comprehensive and competitive benefits package. (Benefits include Eye care, Dental, Life Insurance, Health, Prescriptions, Long term disability and Employee Assistance Program along with an accelerated vacation schedule, Optional pension plan, and other benefits.)
