Job Title: Maintenance Technician (4th Class Power Engineer)
Job Summary: We are hiring a Maintenance Technician (4th Class Power Engineer) to work with one of our food manufacturing clients in London! You will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility’s critical utility systems that support day-to-day production and plant operations. This position will oversee and monitor key systems including boilers and hot water generation, compressed air, glycol, HVAC, and utility distribution equipment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the performance, reliability, safety, and compliance of these systems, while coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance activities as needed. The role will also work closely with external contractors and internal teams to ensure specialized maintenance, repairs, inspections, and servicing are completed effectively and with minimal disruption to operations.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% on site.

Shift Structure: Monday-Friday: Day Shift – 8:00am to 4:00pm
Compensation Structure: $36.00-$40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
· Take ownership of the operation, reliability, and overall performance of all critical plant utility systems
· Coordinate external contractors, service providers, inspections, and specialized maintenance activities
· Plan, execute, and support preventative maintenance programs for utility equipment and systems
· Monitor utility system performance and proactively identify potential issues or reliability concerns
· Troubleshoot utility-related issues and equipment failures that may impact production or facility operations
· Support and maintain compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to utility systems, maintenance, inspections, and servicing
· Develop and maintain strong internal knowledge of critical utility assets, equipment, and operating requirements
· Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams to ensure utility systems effectively support ongoing operations
· Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency, and preventative maintenance practices
Skills/Qualifications:
· Valid 4th Class Operating Engineer Certification (Ontario) or an equivalent qualification recognized in the province
· Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
· Knowledge of boiler systems, compressed air equipment, and glycol/chilled water systems
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Experience coordinating and overseeing external contractors
· Experience within a food manufacturing or processing environment is an asset
· Familiarity with HVAC equipment and facility utility system
· Experience with refrigeration and/or glycol-based cooling systems
· Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and regulatory compliance requirements
