Niagara College Learning Enterprise Corporation (NCLEC) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director to lead one of Canada's most distinctive and integrated beverage and education enterprises. For over 25 years, Niagara College has produced award-winning wines, beers, ciders, and spirits as part of its renowned beverage programs. Following the recent rebranding to NC Craft, we are searching for an innovative leader to oversee the Niagara College Craft Beverage Centre.
This position manages the Niagara College Teaching Winery/Cidery, Teaching Brewery, Teaching Distillery, 30-acre estate vineyards, and the Niagara College Craft Beverage Centre – integrating commercial operations, academic collaboration, applied research, and visitor engagement.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprises, the Director is responsible for overall financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational management for Niagara College’s integrated beverage operations, vineyards, and Craft Beverage Centre.
- Drive financial sustainability, revenue growth, and operational excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and exceptional visitor experiences.
- Align commercial activities with Niagara College’s academic objectives, promoting student learning, supporting applied research, and fostering partnerships with industry and academic stakeholders.
- Balance business performance with educational impact and contribute to long-term strategic growth.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, Enterprises and the President of the Board to support reporting requirements for auditors, provincial and federal entities, and the NCLEC Board of Directors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in beverage, hospitality, sales, or related sectors.
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Hospitality, or a related field required.
- Teaching experience in a college or university setting considered an asset.
- Strong financial and operational management skills.
- Working knowledge of Ontario beverage alcohol industry (LCBO/AGCO policies) and provincial/federal tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proven expertise in driving revenue growth and managing expenses.
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership skills.

Pay: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
