SUMMARY
We are hiring a Junior Graphic Designer & Client Services Representative to join our Client Services team. This role will be a full-time, permanent position working out of our head office located in Oakville, Ontario. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to ferocious customer service, treating people right, and being a part of a team. Our team is the heart of everything! The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, creativity, and customer centric qualities. Additionally, the Junior Graphic Designer & Client Services Representative will work with the organization’s clients, Sales Representatives, and design team to collect information on the client's products and services. The Junior Graphic Designer & Client Services Representative will be responsible for designing and creating compelling graphics, developing visual brand identities, and creating and editing print artwork and designs.
AS A JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER/CLIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:
- Create visually appealing print ads that align with DRMG’s identity, message, and target audience.
- Work on various marketing design tasks such as creating social media graphics, email marketing visuals, website graphics, and other promotional materials.
- Follow brand guidelines to maintain a consistent brand image and ensure high-quality designs.
- Occasionally assist the output/production team with design-related tasks such as making adjustments to files, preparing artwork for print or digital publication, and other related duties.
- Create design work for various projects such as MSE (MoneySaver Envelope), MSM (MoneySaver Magazine), and Solo Cards.
- Make changes to existing marketing materials and create new ones based on the marketing team's requirements.
- Design menus for different clients in various industries such as hospitality, food and beverage, and retail, and create visually appealing designs that showcase the products or services offered by the client.
- Work on design projects for franchises, ensuring that the designs are consistent with the franchise's branding and image.
- Create new design projects from concept to completion, ensuring that the design work meets the client's needs and requirements.
- Manage design tickets such as creating visuals for revenue reports, microsites, and other related projects.
- Design print ads that will be used in various mediums such as newspapers, magazines, and other publications.
- Create marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and posters.
- Interact with clients, Sales Representatives, and internal departments on print marketing campaigns to coordinate and manage deadlines.
- Lead as a Subject Matter Expert on DRMG products to advise clients on best strategies for meeting goals.
- Communicate with team members on a weekly basis.
- Actively participate as a key member of the Client Services team to help drive the company’s departmental strategy.
- Manage workflow of advertising materials with design, sales, and output teams.
- Ensure records in internal databases and folders are accurate and up to date while focusing on metrics and quantifiable outcomes.
- Create new business tickets and art, in addition to monthly mailer tickets and art creation.
- Submit artwork revisions and changes as required.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand the marketing strategy and objectives to ensure the ads meet the campaign goals.
- Collaborate with the client and the marketing team to understand the project's goals and deliver high-quality designs.
- Communicate with the marketing team to understand their needs and deliver high-quality designs that meet the set deadlines.

- Participate in learning and development initiatives proposed by DRMG’s internal learning platform, DRMG University.
- Assist with other projects as assigned by the Director of Sales Operations and Client Services.
YOU CAN EXCEL AS A JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER/CLIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE IF YOU HAVE:
- Diploma or Certificate in Graphic Design, Marketing, Digital or a related field.
- Experience in print and digital marketing.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, MS Office and Google Workspace.
- 1+ years of experience working directly with clients and creating/revising advertisements.
- A positive, independently motivated and team-focused attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to engage with clients effectively and provide consultation.
- Persuasive and engaging oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to recognize and anticipate problems, and gather and analyze the information necessary to resolve those problems.
- Clear and precise instructional abilities to properly and effectively brief initiatives from large projects and campaigns to smaller tasks.
- A reflective approach while being appreciative of feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
- General knowledge of a variety of marketing channels, in both a print (direct mail) and digital environment.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external departments while being a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Bilingual (French) an asset.
