Position Overview: As a Home Inspector, you will receive unparalleled mentorship from an experienced inspector with extensive teaching experience. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about conducting inspections and may also provide air quality services, without the pressures of running their own business. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of residential properties, helping clients make informed decisions whether they are buying, selling, or maintaining their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and comprehensive inspections of residential properties, adhering to industry standards.
- Identify potential issues, hazards, or defects and provide accurate, detailed reports.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences, maintaining the gold standard of the industry.
- Collaborate effectively with our team to achieve outstanding results.
- Analyze findings and provide detailed reports to clients, including recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in home inspection.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a Home Inspection diploma or certificate from a recognized institution.
- We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously attempted to start their own home inspection business but prefer not to handle the business side of operations. If you have experienced the challenges of running a business and wish to focus solely on inspections and reporting, we encourage you to apply.
- Membership in recognized home inspection associations (e.g., INACHI, OAHI, CAHPI) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential issues or hazards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English is required.
- Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
- Background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
- Ability to analyze complex information related to home conditions and construction practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities are essential for identifying and addressing issues.
- Adaptable to working with different client demographics and needs.
Training and Start Date:
- Comprehensive training will be provided by our seasoned inspector, who will share their expertise.
- Expected start date: January 2025.
Compensation:
- Commission-based, with 2-5 inspections per week. Pay typically ranges from $250-$400 per inspection.
