Ensure company policies are being adhered to
Facilitate a safe work culture and be accountable for Safety of the construction team
Thorough knowledge of the plans and specifications for each project assigned
Maintain a high standard of quality control at all times
Liaison for inspectors
Complete timesheets, track quantities and payments, and check production targets
Supervise employees, and work closely with labour relations with the assistance of Human resources
Coordinate and schedule the activities of employees
Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
Day-to-day coordination of operations
Requisition materials and supplies
Resolve work problems and recommend measure to improve productivity
Train or arrange for training of workers
Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
Prepare production and other reports
May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities related apprentices, helpers and labourers
To complete safety talks, and JHAs daily
Other duties may be assigned

Working Conditions:
Working near/on construction sites;
Daily exposure to construction environment (ex. outside, noisy, fumes, dusty environment);
Inclement weather (ex. extreme heat/cold, rain, etc.);
Daily exposure to materials (construction and laboratory chemicals);
Travel to/from/within jobsite(s) – work may be out of town;
Physically fit (ex. ability to walk, climb, driving day/night, reaching above/at/below shoulder height, bending/crouching, kneeling/crawling);
Ability to sit, stand or drive for more than 90 minutes per day;
Ability to lift 50 lbs/22.7 kg
Ability to work various hours, on weekdays, and weekends

Experience Requirements:
Up to 1 year of previous supervisory role experience
Up to 1 year of training or educational experience within constructional field(s)
Previous experience operating various heavy equipment machinery
Previous experience with working with the MTO

Education Requirements:
OSSD or equivalent is required

License Requirements:
Full “G” Driver’s License

Other Related Experiences Required or Preferred:
Heavy equipment institute training diploma (considered an asset)
Transport training institute diploma (considered an asset)
