Position Overview
Flowercity Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Registered Pharmacist with an active Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) license to join our growing independent community pharmacy.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys delivering personalized patient care while helping build and expand pharmacy services within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Our pharmacy currently serves a small dispensing volume, allowing ample time to focus on patient counselling, clinical services, medication management, and practice development rather than high-volume dispensing.
Pharmacy Hours
Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
No evenings, weekends, or statutory holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately in accordance with Ontario legislation and OCP standards.
- Provide comprehensive medication counselling and pharmaceutical care.
- Deliver pharmacy clinical services, including medication reviews, minor ailment assessments, prescribing (where applicable), vaccinations, and other expanded scope services.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
- Support the ongoing development and growth of pharmacy clinical programs and professional services.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centred pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Active registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Authorization to practice independently in Ontario.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Strong professional judgment and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in developing and expanding clinical pharmacy services.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with TrueNorth Medical Clinic to provide integrated patient care, medication management, and clinical support.
- Community pharmacy experience is considered an asset.
