Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license, familiarity with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. The Delivery Driver plays a crucial part in maintaining our company's reputation for dependability and efficiency.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks when necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, adhering to routes and delivery instructions.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts, delivery logs, and invoices.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on vehicles or heavy equipment as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
- Follow safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling to prevent accidents or damages.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Application process requires a photo holding drivers licence to validate potential employees.
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous for vehicle troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently when required.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and timely deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers.
- Ability to lift heavy freight safely and work in various weather conditions.

Pay: $22.50-$30.00 per hour
