Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Training/Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will champion safety initiatives, develop comprehensive training programs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure our team members are well-equipped, knowledgeable, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety training programs tailored to various roles within the organization
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across multiple locations to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training sessions for new and existing employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices in manufacturing environments
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, safety incidents, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture through communication campaigns and engagement initiatives
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Stay current with industry regulations and update training materials accordingly to ensure ongoing compliance
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on safety and training development
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing or similar industries
- Demonstrated ability to design engaging training programs that cater to diverse learning styles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive safety culture
- Prior experience in training & development roles is highly desirable
- Ability to assess risks accurately and implement effective mitigation strategies
