JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Due to company growth, Bell Lumber & Pole Canada, ulc is seeking a Production Labourer to join their Rossland, BC Team. Our company is 110+-year-old family-owned and operated business with operations in both Canada and the United States. We are a manufacturer of wooden utility poles and we are looking for highly motivated candidates with initiative to complete a job with excellence. We want candidates who are self-starting, reliable and dependable. Our company offers a competitive wage structure and comprehensive benefit package. Working outside is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Inspecting poles for quality specifications, using hand tools and chainsaw.
- Operation of heavy equipment, skid steer, front end wheel loader, dump truck.
- Maintenance of tools, equipment, and mill.
- Manual shoveling of bark, snow, wood shavings.
- Operation of pole peeler.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
· Working in saw/pole mill or industrial operations is an asset.
· Running and maintaining chainsaws.
· Operating heavy equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Ability to work full days afield in a variety of climates is necessary.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
· Chain saw experience
· OFA Level 1
· Equipment Operating experience
· Able to follow WorkSafeBC guidelines and demonstrate safe work practices.
· Ability to keep accurate records and submit reports.
· Technical Learning – ability to learn and comprehend new technical skills and knowledge.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $27.00-$28.00 per hour
