Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice or Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, Controls, Boilers,, and related mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately perform tasks
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues with HVAC systems
- Perform plumbing and welding tasks as needed for system repairs or installations
- Support boiler maintenance and repair activities to ensure safe operation
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement effective solutions
- Conduct appliance repairs and perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment during all tasks
- Collaborate with senior technicians on complex projects involving construction or system upgrades
Experience
- Prior experience in mechanical work, appliance repair, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics, plumbing, welding, boilers, or related fields is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn technical skills quickly
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques in refrigeration or HVAC environments
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and safety standards
