Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery trucks and heavy equipment, including forklifts when necessary, to load and unload freight
- Deliver freight to designated locations accurately and on schedule
- Inspect vehicles regularly for safety and maintenance needs, performing basic automotive repairs if required
- Assist with loading and securing freight to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation of goods
Requirements
- Valid class 5 driver license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Ability to operate and navigate large vehicles safely in various environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries
- Ability to lift heavy freight and work in physically demanding conditions
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is desirable
- Must pass background checks and adhere to safety regulations at all times
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
