Mechanical Project Manager – Level 1
Sure-Form Contracting Ltd. is seeking motivated individuals for full-time employment as a Level 1 Mechanical Project Manager.

As a Mechanical Project Manager at Sure-Form Contracting Ltd., you will work closely with the project management team and our in-house fabrication facility to help fulfill project and company objectives, with a strong focus on quality, execution, and delivery.
The Mechanical Project Manager Role
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating various mechanical and multi-discipline construction activities. Your duties will include:
Procurement and Submittals:
- Assist project managers and project team with procurement of mechanical materials and components
- Support preparation and submission of shop drawings and technical submittals
Estimating Support:
- Assist the estimating team with quantity take-offs and mechanical scope estimates
Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC):
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across all project phases
- Perform inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes
- Identify non-conformances and support resolution, while maintaining accurate QA/QC records
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to address quality concerns
Piping Fabrication Scheduling:
- Create and manage detailed schedules for piping fabrication aligned with overall project timelines
- Coordinate procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines
- Monitor fabrication progress and adjust schedules as required
Piping Fabrication QA/QC:
- Oversee inspections and testing to ensure compliance with material and fabrication standards
- Verify adherence to applicable codes, client specifications, and design drawings
- Support issue resolution in collaboration with shop personnel and project stakeholders
Qualifications
We are seeking individuals who are adaptable, solutions-oriented, and eager to learn. Preference will be given to candidates with a proactive approach and willingness to grow across multiple project disciplines.
Qualifications include:
- 2–5 years of experience in a mechanical project coordination or management role (required)
- Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent (required)
- Experience in process mechanical coordination or management within a multi-discipline construction environment
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, piping systems, and fabrication standards
- Familiarity with industry codes (ASME, ABSA, CWB, API, etc.); certifications considered an asset
- Proficiency with technical drawings, specifications, and fabrication documentation
- Experience with SpoolFab (Acorn Pipe) considered a strong asset
- Exposure to drafting and/or fabrication QA/QC considered a significant advantage
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in pipe fabrication software
