Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. Work days - Friday to Sunday. 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. We offer a paid break each day.
As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring their experience is memorable and enjoyable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts.
- Pack items, slice bread and restock display area as required during the day.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of low supplies.
- Assist with dish, ensuring there is adequate dishes to accommodate the needs of the front at all time.
- When there is time, assist with other areas within the bakery as necessary and as skills are developed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Uphold food safety practices in all aspects of food handling and preparation.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing. Able to count and process cash transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices related to food handling.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
