Van Boekel Landworks is an award-winning landscape construction and maintenance company serving Muskoka and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for an operator who takes pride in precision, efficiency, and producing high quality work.
What You'll Do
- Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform site grading, excavation, trenching, and drainage installation
- Assist with retaining wall, septic system, and hardscape construction projects
- Read and interpret grades, elevations, and site plans
- Load and unload materials and equipment as required
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Work closely with project managers and crew members to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
Qualifications
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, and loaders
- Strong understanding of grading and excavation practices
- Ability to work from plans, grades, and project specifications
- Experience in landscape construction, excavation, civil construction, or related industries
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence required
- DZ Licence considered an asset
