Overview
We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Apprentice Carpenters/framers. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in construction, providing a foundation for a rewarding career in the building trades. The role involves assisting skilled carpenters with various tasks on commercial and residential projects, gaining valuable skills in framing, restoration, siding, and more. Candidates should be eager to learn, reliable, and physically capable of handling the demands of construction work.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced carpenters with framing, siding, restoration, and other construction tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required on construction sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures on-site to prevent accidents
Skills
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely
- Knowledge of carpentry/framing an asset
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in carpentry and construction
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
