Position Summary:
Are you passionate about hospitality, weddings, and creating exceptional guest experiences? Sandpiper Resort seeks two organized, energetic, and professional Event Leads to join our Events Team.
As an Event Lead, you will play a key role in executing special events across our beautiful resort property. You will be responsible for leading event staff, ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise event service staff during weddings, corporate functions, and special events.
- Conduct pre-event team briefings and delegate responsibilities.
- Oversee event setup and ensure all spaces are prepared according to event specifications.
- Coordinate service timing with the culinary and bar teams.
- Monitor guest experience throughout the event and respond professionally to requests or concerns.
- Ensure food safety, liquor service, and resort service standards are always followed.
- Assist with food service, beverage service, room flips, and event breakdown as required.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Complete end-of-event duties and ensure all areas are left clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, restaurant, banquet, or event service.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move event equipment as required.
- Available evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event season.
- Serving It Right certification is considered an asset.
