EVENT DECOR INSTALLER
Ideally you have experience setup and taking down events. Or, you have moving and shipping experience. Licensed drivers who can drive vans and trucks will be given top priority.
JOB BRIEF
Special Event Installer to set-up and take down decor items for special events including loading and unloading trucks. No prior experience needed, will train the right people. Must have a positive attitude, be punctual, be able to follow instructions, take initiative and have dependable transportation. Hours vary including days, nights and weekends. Valid Driver License and the ability to drive vans and trucks is preferred. This is perfect work if you want to augment your income, have a flexible schedule and want to get experience in the creative events industry.
Requirements:
- +1 year experience in the events industry is ideal
- Candidates with valid drivers license and ability to drive a 20ft box truck will be given preference
- Degrees are always good, but not necessary.
What is necessary:
- A willingness to learn and do
- Ability to follow instructions and direction
- You need to be self motivated and work in a team
- Most importantly you need to be responsible and dependable. We are a team and we have to be able to count on each other.
Any additional skills such as carpentry, vinyl graphics application and A/V knowledge are all pluses. Knowledge of the different hotels and venues loading docks is a huge plus.
Duties:
- Loading and unloading event materials from vehicles into event venues safely and quickly
- Setting decor, furniture, floral, small goods ( candles ), custom art assembly and making sure everything looks great
- Taking everything down after the event is over(this is usually after midnight)
- Following Event Manager and Sales Team instructions
Be aware that this is physical labor, requiring punctuality and being detail oriented. You must be available days, nights and weekends.
Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
