Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the smooth progression of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with hand tools and basic construction knowledge is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with general construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws under supervision
- Support carpentry activities, including framing and finishing work
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assist tradespeople
- Perform caulking, painting, and restoration tasks to ensure project quality
- Assist with plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying as needed
- Support construction painting and other finishing activities
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools and basic construction tasks is advantageous
- Knowledge of carpentry, blueprint reading, schematics, and construction painting is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills such as plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
