Position: Machine Operator – Afternoons
Shift Details:
- Full-time: 41.25 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 3:15 PM – 12:00 AM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate automated production lines as required
- Perform line changeovers and ensure products meet specifications
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Assist team members as needed
- Follow the production schedule
Required Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine functions
- Basic hand tool skills
- Basic computer skills (ability to learn machine controllers)
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Physically capable of safely entering and exiting machines to perform adjustments
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work different shifts based on production requirements with reasonable notice
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular job duties
- Ability to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting product quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8.25 hours)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities
- Demonstrate initiative and teamwork
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to be trained as a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) representative is an asset
Preference will be given to candidates with technical or machine/equipment operating experience.
