Job Description:
The Apprentice Technician/ Dealership Support reports to the Branch Manager and plays a key role in keeping the yard and shop organized while supporting the service team and gaining hands-on experience toward a career as a licensed powersports technician.
This entry-level role is a great fit for someone who is mechanically curious and wants to break into the powersports industry. Working out of our Woodstock location, you'll spend your days keeping units organized in the yard, prepping machines for delivery, and working alongside our licensed technicians to learn the trade from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Move, organize, and stage new, used, and customer units throughout the yard to keep inventory accessible and the lot presentable.
- Assist the service team with pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), unloading and loading units, and general prep work.
- Support licensed technicians with routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, filter changes, battery checks, etc.) under direct supervision.
- Retrieve parts and tools for technicians, and keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as unit winterization/de-winterization, snow removal, and general yard upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records of unit locations, condition, and work performed.
- Follow all health and safety protocols when operating equipment, moving units, or working in the shop.
- Provide friendly, professional support to customers and staff as needed.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round
- A valid Class 5 driver's license
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience operating powersport vehicles, working in an automotive/mechanical environment, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Additional Strengths:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine eagerness to learn the trade
- Comfortable operating small vehicles and equipment (ATVs, forklifts, etc.) — training provided
