FLOORING INSTALLER: $25 to $30 per hour
The Company:
Bordt Stone & Tile is a leading commercial tile, flooring and stone company in Calgary. Our scope of work includes tiling, flooring, cladding, specialty stone work and solid surfaces. We are seeking an energetic and experienced flooring installer to join our team.
Our flooring installers perform the following duties:
· Prepare surfaces to install flooring, including proper layout, levelling if required
· LVP/LVT Installation
· Broadloom Carpet Installation
· Hardwood Flooring Installation
· Carpet Tile Installation
· Quality Control
· Ability to troubleshoot problems on site
· Load and unload material
· Adhere to all safety protocols required including use of PPE
Education and Experience:
· 2 years minimum as a flooring installer
· tile setting experience an asset
· able to read and interpret drawings an asset
· WHMIS (required) First Aid, Fall Protection are preferred but not required
· Class 5 driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Able to lift 50lbs
· Able to meet the physical demands of flooring setting such as lifting, bending, kneeling
· Own tools and vehicle
· Knowledge of safe work practices
· High attention to detail
· Positive and direct communicator
· Teamwork and collaboration skills
