Salary Range: $ 40,677 - $50,856 per annum (commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN Compensation Policy)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-Time; Monday to Friday

The Drug Development Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is the largest new Drug Development Program in Canada and the only centre outside of the United States to have a contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It is an exciting initiative focusing on phase I, II and III studies of innovative drugs with a strong emphasis on pharmacokinetics and correlative studies. It involves a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach and is strategically designed to ensure the rapid completion of high quality studies.
The Administrative Assistant II supports the Drug Development Program – Phase II and works directly with Clinical Research Managers. Principal responsibilities include administrative support for payroll submission, onboarding, office inventory and supplies, archiving of trial documents, obtaining signatures from Physicians, scanning, upkeep and maintenance of staff documents, and physical transport of paper documents within UHN sites. And other relevant task as assigned by the Research Managers.
completion of a Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Medical Office Assistant or equivalent Administration
Completion of a medical terminology course(s) is an asset.
One (1) to two (2) years related office administrative support experience
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent organization, prioritization skills, good computer skills, ability to learn quickly and work independently
Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience; experience in a Microsoft Office environment
Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks
Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies
Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
