Castlegar Hyundai is adding an Assistant Sales Manager to our team of sales professionals. This is a unique role because it offers the opportunity for advancement to a senior management position.
Specifically, we will steadily build on the sales and customer-service skills and experience that the assistant sales manager brings to this role, providing training on our product and processes and approach. Our goal is to prepare the assistant sales manager to eventually assume the role of Sales Manager, a senior position in our dealership.
This position is well-suited for someone with previous automotive sales or service experience, who enjoys the industry, and is looking to grow and advance.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with vehicle purchases, including customer proposals and paperwork.
- Appraise trade-in vehicles.
- Help product advisors with the sales process.
- Work closely with the sales manager and general manager to achieve targets for sales and customer satisfaction.
- Use online tools to prepare financing and leasing options for clients.
- Assist customers directly and sell vehicles, when needed.
- Learn Hyundai products and stay current with manufacturer programs and policies.
- Assist and monitor customer follow-up.
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including dealership websites.
- Complete various administrative duties.
Skills and experience required:
- Sales and customer-service experience.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Desire to work constructively with others and helping your colleagues succeed.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability and desire to learn new skills and information.
- Comfort with computers and technology.
- Track record of achievement.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Desire to work in a smaller community.
- Valid driver's license.
