Shift Timing: 0600-1800/1800-0600 two-week continental rotation
Pay Rate: $21.63
Essential Job Functions:

Control all access through the main gate in accordance with Imperial Oil site security protocol
-
Verify valid swipes of all persons entering the refinery via access control system
-
Screen incoming vehicles and personnel for authorization and compliance
-
Conduct vehicle and bag searches in accordance with site standards and security procedures
-
Weigh inbound and outbound commercial vehicles using site scale systems
-
Maintain accurate logs of all traffic (deliveries, and visitors)
-
Monitor and manage access control systems across the refinery site
-
Provide emergency notifications and site wide announcements as required via two-way radio system
-
Coordinate with internal teams and external emergency services for all site emergencies
-
Filter and manage external phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately
-
Provide general wayfinding and site guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors

Monitor CCTV and security systems
-
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the property
-
Prepare detailed Daily Shift Logs and incident documentation
-
Provide professional, courteous service as the first point of contact for the refinery
-
Identify, report, and document hazards, suspicious activity, or unauthorized access attempts
-
Respond to alarms, incidents, and calls for service across the site
-
Ensure adherence to site safety policies during all patrol activities
Requirements:
-
A Valid Ontario Security License
-
A Valid Drivers class G license with clean abstract.

At least two years of security experience in an industrial setting would be an asset.

Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college would be an asset.

Extensive general computer knowledge to perform all required tasks. Must possess a detailed knowledge of the MS Office, with the ability to extract and manipulate data using MS Access/Excel. A working knowledge of relational database composition, operation and query functions an asset.

Experience working at another IOL post would be considered an asset.

Possess good general office and organizational skills.

This position requires excellent communication skills written and verbal with the emphasis on practical industrial knowledge. The job requires tact, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.

Demonstrate punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy.
