Position Summary
The Bookkeeping Assistant will support our team with a variety of administrative and bookkeeping-related tasks. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and gain valuable experience working with accounting software, client files, and financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Scan, organize, and maintain client documents and records
- Assist with data entry and bookkeeping tasks
- Prepare and organize electronic and paper files
- Support payroll and accounts payable/receivable processes
- Assist with bank reconciliations and account maintenance
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Perform general office and administrative duties
- Assist with tax season preparation and client file management
- Learn and work with various accounting and bookkeeping software programs
Qualifications
Required
- College diploma in Business, Accounting, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn
Assets (Not Required)
- Familiarity with accounting or bookkeeping software
- Customer service experience
- Experience working in an office environment

Location
This position is full-time and in-office at our Thunder Bay, Ontario location. Remote work is not available.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
