Kitchen & Bakery Assistant
Part-Time | 20–30 hours per week
We're looking for a motivated Kitchen & Bakery Assistant to join our growing team.
although this is starting as a Part time position full time hours may follow as the business grows.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with quality ingredients, takes pride in producing great food, and isn't afraid of hard work. You'll work alongside our kitchen and bakery team helping prepare fresh food, baked goods, and ready meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
You will need to be adaptable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of fresh food, ready meals, and bakery products
- Weighing, mixing, and preparing ingredients
- Supporting bread, pastry, and baked goods production
- Packaging and labelling products
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
- Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory
- Working as part of a team to ensure products are prepared to a consistently high standard

Qualifications
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (required)
- Previous kitchen, bakery, culinary, or hospitality experience is preferred
- Experience with bread, pastry, or commercial food production is an asset but not essential—we're happy to train the right person with a great attitude.
