Legal Assistant – Corporate Commercial (Winnipeg)
Tapper Cuddy LLP is a full-service law firm (based in Winnipeg, Manitoba) that helps individuals and business owners get the legal support they need and results they’re looking for in litigation, business law, family law and 20 other areas of practice. To continue to achieve a high level of service, we are looking to add to our team of Legal Assistants, working as a Legal Assistant in our Commercial Law Department.

Responsibilities:
Legal & Administrative Duties:
- Preparation of legal documents based on multiple sources of information
- Advanced formatting and editing documents
- Calendar Management
- Create and maintain paper and electronic filing system
- Prepare invoices and manage billing cycle within strict timelines.
- General administrative duties as required, including conflict searches, filing, scanning, copying, etc.
- Prepare communications and other documents as may be required based on verbal instructions
Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Legal Assistant program is preferred (equivalent training and experience will be considered for a suitable candidate)
- 2-3 years of prior experience working as a legal assistant, preferably with a background in corporate, commercial and/or real estate
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Exceptional inter-personal skills with the ability to create and foster professional relationships
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking and make decisions based on sound judgment
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
