Gorilla Property Services is looking for dedicated individuals to perform litter pickup services at the Home Depot located at (1700 Victoria St & 4200 Garden St). This part-time opportunity allows you to combine your morning routine with earning extra income while keeping the community clean and green!
Position Overview:
- Hours: 1-1.5 hours per shift per store
- Schedule:
- January & February: 1 visit/week (Thursday/Friday)
- March to October: 3 visits/week (Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays)
- November & December: 2 visits/week (Mondays, Fridays) (Unless noted othewise)
- Shift Timing: All tasks must be completed before 6:00 AM or after 10:00 PM the night before. (Depending on the time of year this can change to be more accomodating)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform litter pickup across all areas within the Home Depot property line, including:
- Landscaped areas, parking lot, curbs, and driveways.
- Storefront, sides, and back of the building, including receiving docks and compactors.
- Ensure all collected litter is removed off-site and disposed of appropriately.
- Use proper tools and protective gear (e.g., steel-toe shoes, gloves, broom, prongs, garbage bags) to perform the tasks safely.
- Maintain the site in a clean, garbage-free condition after every visit.
- Provide photographic proof of completed work and check in/out via phone.
Scope Exclusions:
- Removal of large debris (e.g., desks, mattresses, tires, wood) or hazardous waste (e.g., needles).
- Requests outside normal duties will require a separate work order and may qualify for additional pay.
Requirements:
- Must have access to reliable transportation to and from the site.
- Ability to store collected litter until bi-weekly supervisor visits or provide your own disposal method (reimbursement can be discussed).
- Own a smartphone for site check-ins, photos, and communication.
- Steel toe shoes (green patch)
Job Type:
- Part-time contract, (1-3 days per week based on the month).
