Hiring - Line Locator

As a Line Locator, you are responsible for pinpointing the paths of cables, pipes and other conduits that carry utilities underground. The locators’ efforts protect underground utilities from damage during projects involving excavation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizes the provided mapping tools and other location information, along with locating equipment, to locate underground utilities including, but not limited to: electric and gas utilities telephone and other communication lines.
- Act as the liaison, effectively communicating with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel, regarding underground facilities.
- Provide accurate documentation and/or sketches related to all locates completed
- Responds to after-hours emergency call-outs
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have experience and knowledge in the Oilfield Industry.
- You have general computer knowledge/skill including MS Office.
- You possess a valid AB Driver’s License and a clean 3-year driver’s abstract.
- You show a strong commitment to safety performance and Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- You can pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- You are a good communicator, both written and verbal.
- You have the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- You are able to work in a changing and varied work schedule.
- You enjoy working outdoors.
