Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1A or 3A Truck Driver to join our logistics team. Our business is located near Pilot Butte SK. and serves Regina and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This job will require some weekends, night shifts and overtime as necessary. A negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test and no facial hair, due to contractor requirements are required. End dump trailer experience is a must with a 1A license. Truck and pup trailer experience is an asset but not necessarily required. 3A drivers must have experience in hauling gravel and experience operating equipment. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport aggregates, etc.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Operate loaders when required for loading or unloading material. (Loading experience is required for 3A position but only an assest for 1A driver.)
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). SGI driver's abstract is required.
- End dump experience (Truck and pup trailer is an asset.)
- Front end loader or skid steer experience is an asset but not required for Class 1A
- 3A required to operate loader (dozer is an asset)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- SCOT/WHMIS training will be provided if applicant doesn't have
