Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and finishes to vehicles, ensuring high-quality results that meet dealership, insurance, and industry standards. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of automotive painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish and colour match
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and other finishes using spray guns and hand tools
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment during painting processes
- Collaborate with technicians and other team members to complete vehicle repairs and refinishing tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive painter
- Knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive paint processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, spray guns, and masking materials
- Ability to make judgement calls on colours, blends, and overall finish.
- Take pride in your work and working environment
- Experience with automotive repair is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality finishes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience with mechanic work is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to produce multiple units per day
Pay: $17.65-$39.00 per hour
